A fun-filled evening awaits you on the first or second Friday of every month. We will be gathering for a wonderful evening of stitching and camaraderie. Bring your own project to work on. We will have pizza delivered around 6:30 for those of you coming late from work…

UFO STITCH-IN’s
Work on Un-Finished Objects of your choice in a creative and fun environment. Country Cupboard will provide a delicious light meal and turn you loose in the store, to stitch, create, shop, share, and work on your UFO?s. We?ll break for dessert and tea then stitch some more!! Come for a pleasant and productive evening.

Join Pat as she guides you through the beautiful techniques of Hardanger Embroidery. Learn Kloster Blocks, Eyelets, Woven Bars, Cable Stitch, Satin Stitch, and more.

Hardanger Embroidery is a delicate form of openwork which originated in the Hardanger region of Norway hundreds of years ago. The beautiful wood grain style lined music box is included in the class. An 8” X 8” Q-Snap is required for class.

Join us at The Center located one and a half miles from our store on Southwest Highway in Palos Park. Our classes will be at The Lodge the weekend of March 10 & 11, 2012.

The Center is situated in a beautifully wooded and secluded area with classes and lunch being held on site. Please plan to join us!!

On Saturday, March 10th, join Pat Madden as we stitch “Sweet Violets”, by Heirloom Embroideries. We will stitch this sweet piece using hand-dyed evenweave fabric and over-dyed silks from Dinky Dyes. The specialty stitches are satin stitch, pulled eyelet, and Scottish stitch. You will personalize it with your own initial or as a gift for someone else. This piece could easily be framed, placed into a box, or made into a pillow. Class held 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. On Sunday, March 11th, Donna Blackburn will guide you through a fabulous canvas piece entitled "Venetian Glass Christmas Stocking Ornament." This piece is stitched on canvas in Christmas colors with metallic, silks and Watercolors. This piece is a lot of fun to do. Once the outline and borders are done, you can chose between three different stitch motifs to fill in your stocking. What a great project for gifts for Christmas 2012. Class held 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
